This is my youngest. I thought we would make today all about D Day. Right now he is 2 years old and is full of life! He loves to tease and says everything is "mine". He loves going to nursery to be with "grandpa toy". He is obsessed (and that is putting it lightly) with broom-brooms (aka four wheelers, motorcycles, monster trucks, anything that makes a lot of noise) and his other obsession is ghosts. He loves coming into a room, yelling roar and then screaming "aagh ghost". Last night he was sliding down an enclosed plastic slide and his hair stood up from the static electricity and he ran over to me and was crying from his ghost hair. Dean is a grandpa's boy first and foremost. He calls my dad bubba, next in line is his daddy, and then comes mom. We are so lucky to have him in our family and enjoying his personality and sense of humor!
The first time we saw D, he was 1 day old. He was named after his Great grandfather because the moment we looked at him, he looked like my side of the family. Dark and hairy! I sometimes wonder if the ghosts that he is obsessed with isn't his namesake that he feels close too.
When D was 10 months old, he started having breath holding spells. Whenever D would start to cry he would not be able to draw in a breath until he turned blue and passed out. It went on a couple times a day until he was about 2 and it has decreased to every couple of months now. Whenever he would start to cry, you had to be close to catch him when he passed out. The above picture was taken at a time when mom couldn't get to him fast enough and he passed out on the street and gashed his head open. Luckily no stitches (because we were in the middle of Wyoming).
Last Sunday, while he was disrupting church I took him into a classroom that had a piece of chalk left over and let him draw. When I asked him what he drew, he said "Memaw" (which is Love's mom).
Anytime we go on a picnic with my family, we bring the four wheelers and Bubba drives around until D is fast asleep.
This is kind of a random picture, but I put it on here to show D's love for his grandpa. He got a sliver in his finger that got infected and he had to show it to bubba every single time he saw him.
D and his bubba.

Sure love this little man - glad he's part of our family!
