Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. We hope you enjoy sharing in our "Muir Moments".

Costume Pictures
P was a "little stinker" for hallowen (aka a skunk). He let me paint his face first thing in the morning but then he kept wiping his finger across his nose and looking at it, so we eventually cleaned it all off.

Trick or Treat Street
P and I went to trick or treat street at the expo center this year. Inside the center is a huge circle of houses and business and a big graveyard in the middle. You go around the circle and the "owners" pass out candy. I wasn't sure what P would think but he was very polite and said "dank do" after each peice of candy he received. P loved the giant pumpkin in the middle and get wanting to go over and look and touch it. For those who can't tell what P is dressed up as, he is a skunk. He is mommy's "little stinker".

Haunted Boat Ride
My sister found this fun haunted boat ride that goes down the Provo river. The side of the river is lined with carved pumpkins, hallowen lights and ghosts. In the middle of the ride, a pirate jumps on board your boat and passes out candy for the kids. P mostly wanted to drive the boat but would ooh and aah everytime we would pass a pumpkin or ghost. Thanks for the fun idea Rach!

The Pirate
Pumpkins!
P has become so obsessed with everything Halloween! We walk down the street and he loves to look at everyones pumpkins, withches, scarecrows, lights anything that is either spooky, funny, or orange he loves! He's still a little small to carve pumpkins but Love and I thought it would be fun to take him to a pumpkin patch and have him pick out a little pumpkin for him to paint and put stickers on. The batteries were dead in my camera when we got to the pumpkin patch, but P was in heaven. He went to the biggest pumpkins and tried to lift them up to take home. Mom finally had to convince him to get just a small pumpkin to take home with us. While in the car and after we got home, P wouldn't let his "bauble" leave his side. It had to go in the bathtub with him and finally he fell asleep with it tucked under his arm. Here are some of the pictures. . .

Witch Hunt
Every Halloween P and I go to Gardner Village to look at the witches. P thought that they were real so he would wave and say hi, tell them something about what they were doing and then wave bye and blow kisses. It was so cute!!
P posing with the pumpkins which he calls "baubles" cause he thinks they are big apples.
P and me "sitting a spell" to visit with a witch.
I think this was P's favorite witch because you could see it a couple time as we walked around the village.
Fall is in the air
I thought it would be fun to go on a hike and look at all of the gorgeous fall colors, and a way for P to get out some of his energy. So we drove up big Cottonwood Canyon to hike up to donut falls (which I remembered as an easy hike pre P) well we didn't make it very far before P wanted to be carried and mom was huffing and puffing up the hill.
Fall is my favorite season. I love all of the changing colors, I just wish this picture could really do the colors justice!
P and me taking one last picture before heading home.
P sitting on a huge rock, that he wanted to pick up and take home with us.
This is how far we made it up the hill from the parking lot.

Straight from heaven!
Upside down ice cream cones.
Utah State Fair
P and I went to the fair with my sister-in-laws and their daughters The kids had a fun time riding all the rides and eating fair food. I couldn't believe how adventerous the girls were, they weren't scared of any of the rides.
N/n #5 & 6 rode on the firetruck that went around in this huge circle, but I couldn't believe how high it was and they weren't scared once!

#6 sliding down the big slide.
Cousins riding the helicopters.
#5 & 6 on the rollercoaster.
P and me on the choo-choo train.
Preston wanted to hold #5's hand all night.
My sister in law with her daughters sliding down the big slide.
The Joys of Motherhood. . .
Isn't being a mother the funnest job ever!?! These are some great pictures of P, doing what P does best. . .keeping his mom on her toes.
I told P that we were going swimming so while I was getting everything together, P ran out to the car, stripped off his diaper and was climbing up into his car seat.
Oh the places we'll go. Love and I walked into P's room to find that he had pulled everything off of his changing table and had crawled onto one of the shelves. He thought that we couldn't see him and that he had found a pretty cool hiding place.
As many of you know, P loves dogs, and I don't mean loves like he sees one and goes up and pets it, I mean he goes over to our neighbors house, rings their doorbells in hopes of getting a glimpse at their dogs. Well Love had this stuffed dog as one of the prizes for Gasoline Alley and P fell in love with him. He has to bring this dog everywhere we go (or everywhere that mom will allow him to bring it) and if we have to leave it home, as soon as we walk through the door he calls out for his doggy.

Payson Onion Days
Every labor day we go down to Payson (where my sister lives) and celebrate their town's heritage. This year we had good intentions as always and started out at the parade. As soon as the first floats started to come, it started to rain and I mean rain!! It was a complete downpour, we ended up sloshing back to our cars and ditching the onion days for a movie instead.
Grandma (my mom) trying to keep the babies entertained before the parade starts.
The parade has begun and everyone wants to get under grandma and grandpa's umbrella's.
Happy Birthday
Each month, my family gets together for a family dinner. We each take turns hosting the family at our house and everyone is in charge of bringing a specific dish for the family to feast on. During that dinner we celebrate the birthdays for the month. September is the busiest month in our family for birthdays so since n/n #1 was at the beginning we decided to celebrate his at the August family dinner. #1 is turning 12 and is being ordained as a deacon at church. We are so proud of him!
The birthday boy! Doesn't he look excited!

Grandpa (my dad) with #2 & 4.

Clint and #3 waiting for the celebration to begin.
Rachael who is hoping to have the baby tonight!!!
My brother and his girlfriend watching the festivities.
Look out Picasso!
I am always looking for fun and easy craft projects that will entertain P while not costing a ton of money. One day while we were at wal-mart we found these suncatchers that P just became infatuated with, so I got two for him to paint. He had the best time!! Needless to say it kept his attention for an entire 20 minutes which in P's world is like hours and hours plus it allows mom to get something done quickly! We kept the monkey for us to enjoy and gave the flowers to GG who is recovering from cancer. It completely made her day which always makes us happy!!

Cherry Hill
Love won tickets to Cherry Hill Waterpark again this year, so we decided to take our niece and nephews for one last hurrah before school started. We had so much fun that day going down the waterslides, hanging out in the lazy river and even playing with P in the kiddie pool which was a huge pirate ship!

#1 playing tag in the lazy river.

#3 floating down the lazy river.

#2 packing up her things to head home.
